Big Art Show!

Curator's Statement

Westfield Citrus Park and the Outdoor Arts Foundation are proud to introduce "The Big Art Show: The Sky's the Limit" a concept conceived by Foundation Director Jay Goulde as a means to provide local artists with an opportunity to exhibit large-scale works of art in high-traffic, public areas.

The general public certainly has the expectation that they can view these types of works in museum and gallery environments; however, the purpose of"The Big Art Show" is to display beautiful works of art in areas where people would least expect them.

From March through October 2006, the ceilings in the Center Court, JCPenney and Sears Court areas at Westfield Citrus Park will be filled with wire, plexiglass sculptures and mobiles created by renowned Safety Harbor artists Todd Ramquist and Kiaralinda. This inaugural show is aptly titled "The Sky's the Limit!!!" Each sculpture grouping will have either an underwater, garden or celestial theme.

Known as the Whimsy Twins, Todd and Kiaralinda have been creating unique works of art for nearly three decades. Their studio/home in Safety Harbor has become a landmark, widely known for the 600 bowling balls in the yard and a colorful, phantasmagorical gingerbread cottage exterior that fully expresses their greatest freedom - to live their art.

Todd and Kiaralinda have been featured in countless magazines, books and television shows, and can be seen exhibiting and selling their whimsical creations at more than 20 festivals nationwide. When not living and working in their Safety Harbor home, they spend their time at a second house outside Chicago and travel the world looking for new sources of inspiration.

All of the pieces featured in "The Big Art Show" are available for purchase. Please see the for sale section of the website for pricing or call Jay Goulde for more information at (727) 723-8620.

Both the Outdoor Arts Foundation and Todd and Kiaralinda would like to thank Westfield Citrus Park for this opportunity and hope you enjoy this show as much as we have enjoyed bringing it to you!!!
